Organising and designing a corporate retreat for a growing team

Fabrick is an ecosystem that connects banks, fintechs and companies through a single platform. We took them to the A-Rosa Gardasee, on the hills above Salò, for two days. On the first day, a team coaching journey built around the Hero's Journey model: five phases, from the Ordinary World to the Return, to work through the tensions of a growing team together. On the second day, a sailing regatta led by a professional skipper to put the team to the test.

In a regatta the skipper decides when to tack, but the whole crew executes the manoeuvre: whoever releases the sheet on one side has to trim it on the other, at the same instant. One person late, and the tack fails for everyone. We design activities like this precisely to make visible, in a few hours, what takes months to surface in the office.
